What needs a separate quote

Repairs, parts, dismantling, lift access, compression testing, high-voltage battery testing, paid history reports and return visits are separate. These packages assess accessible condition; they cannot certify a complete accident history or guarantee future reliability.

Your inspection and report

A clear delivery time

Report target: within 6 working hours after the inspection. Every package includes a digital report with key photographs, recorded limitations and a brief explanation of the findings.

We confirm the arrival window and report deadline when booking. Late appointments may have a next-working-day deadline. Same-day inspection slots depend on availability, location and seller access.

Visit times are estimates. Restricted access, an unsafe car or further testing can change what is completed; any follow-up work is agreed separately.

Buying the car? Comprehensive and Extended can be booked at a suitable seller location. Our pre-purchase inspection page explains the buying checks. Compare other services in the inspection price guide.

What the mobile inspection can cover

The package comparison shows what is included at each level. The inspector records the checks completed and any area that could not be accessed.

01

Body and paint

Accessible panels, glass, lamps, closures and visible repair clues. Comprehensive and Extended include paint-depth readings on suitable panels.

02

Engine bay and fluids

Accessible fluid levels and condition, visible leaks, hoses and running observations. The inspection does not involve opening internal engine components.

03

Tyres, wheels and brakes

Visible tyre wear and sidewall condition, wheel damage, accessible brake areas and warning indicators. Hidden components may need workshop access.

04

Cabin and electrical functions

Selected windows, locks, displays, lighting, climate controls and accessible safety equipment. The report identifies controls that could not be tested.

05

Computer diagnostic checks

Essential includes a basic engine fault-code scan. Comprehensive and Extended include supported vehicle modules. Fault codes are considered alongside physical findings and may require further diagnosis.

06

Road behaviour

Comprehensive and Extended include a road test when permitted and safe. Seller permission, the car’s condition and suitable driving access must be confirmed first.

Check the location first

Can we inspect where the car is parked?

A driveway, dealer forecourt or workplace parking area can be suitable. Basement and storage locations need a closer look at access, lighting and working conditions.

Send a map pin and a brief description of the parking space. Mention security rules, restricted access or a car that cannot move before arranging the visit.

If the site cannot support the requested checks safely, another location or workshop appointment may be needed.

  • Keys and permission

The seller or authorised contact must allow access to the cabin, bonnet, boot and diagnostic port.

  • Space and firm ground

Allow room around the car to open doors and examine its panels. A sloping, sandy or active traffic area can restrict the inspection.

  • Light and safe engine operation

The inspector needs enough light to examine the car. Any engine-running checks must suit the ventilation and site rules.

  • Permission for a road test

If a road test is requested, confirm the owner’s permission and the car’s availability for safe, lawful driving.

Choose the right access

Mobile visit or workshop inspection?

A mobile visit saves moving the car. A workshop becomes more useful when your decision depends on lift access or equipment that cannot be used at the parking location.

What mattersMobile inspectionWorkshop inspection
Vehicle movementThe car stays at the agreed location. The car needs to reach the workshop.
Underbody viewLimited to areas safely visible from ground level.Lift access may reveal more when included and available.
Working conditionsDepend on parking space, light, weather and site permission.Controlled working space can support more consistent access.
Testing equipmentPortable checks suited to the vehicle and location.May support lifting, measurements and separately agreed specialist tests.

Tell us if the car has very low clearance, suspected underside damage, a major leak or a concern requiring internal testing. We can discuss suitable inspection options before you book.

Inspection findings being discussed beside a parked car

Your findings after the visit

Useful results, even if you cannot attend

Arrange access through the seller or another authorised contact. Every package includes a digital report with key photographs and an explanation of the findings. The delivery target is within 6 working hours after inspection, with the deadline confirmed at booking.

  • See what was checkedThe report records completed observations and tests, including any driving or access restrictions.
  • Understand what needs attentionSeparate observed wear or damage from a concern that still needs diagnosis or workshop access.
  • Decide what to do nextUse the findings to ask the seller questions, arrange further testing or plan maintenance.

A condition inspection cannot guarantee that every hidden or intermittent fault will appear. Our inspection report guide explains how to read findings and limitations.

Mobile inspection questions

How much does a mobile car inspection in Dubai cost?

Guide prices are AED 300 for Essential, AED 400 for Comprehensive and AED 500 for Extended. Each includes 5% VAT, one visit to the agreed Dubai location and a digital report with key photographs. The final total is confirmed for your car and any additional requirements before booking.

Can you inspect a car in a basement or apartment car park?

Only if access, lighting, ventilation and space allow the requested checks to be completed safely. Share the building rules and parking details before booking. A different location may be needed if the car cannot be examined or operated safely.

How long does the visit take, and when will I get the report?

Allow 45–60 minutes for Essential, 60–90 minutes for Comprehensive and 90–120 minutes for Extended. The report target is within 6 working hours after inspection. We confirm the arrival window and report deadline at booking; late appointments may have a next-working-day deadline. Same-day slots depend on availability and access.

Do I need to be at the vehicle?

You can arrange the inspection remotely if an authorised person at the location provides the keys and permissions. Agree how you will receive the findings and who the inspector can contact during the visit.

Can you inspect a car that does not start?

Tell us before booking. Some visible checks may still be possible, but starting, running and road-test observations will be unavailable. Fault diagnosis or a workshop visit may be needed to answer your main concern.

Can you inspect hybrid, electric or modified cars?

Send the exact model, year and any modifications so the team can confirm suitable equipment and checks. High-voltage work, traction-battery capacity testing and manufacturer-specific reports require separate confirmation.

Do I add the mobile price to the pre-purchase inspection price?

No. Choose one package suited to the checks you need. Comprehensive and Extended can be used for a pre-purchase inspection at a suitable seller location. The confirmed total includes the selected package, 5% VAT and the agreed Dubai visit; any additional work is quoted separately.

What happens if the seller refuses access or cancels?

Contact the team as soon as you know. Confirm the seller's permission before the inspector travels, and ask for the cancellation, restricted-access and return-visit terms with your quotation.

Does the mobile inspection include repairs?

The inspection is a condition assessment. Repairs, replacement parts, dismantling and further specialist testing are separate from an inspection-only quotation. The findings help you decide what work to request next.

Is this an official RTA mobile inspection?

No. Inspector.ae provides a private vehicle-condition inspection. This service does not issue an RTA passing certificate or renew vehicle registration.
